Supervised visitation across Aurora

Aurora is Colorado's third-largest city — roughly 400,000 residents spread across more than 160 square miles and three counties. Most of the city sits in Arapahoe County, the northern neighborhoods fall in Adams County, and a small southeastern edge reaches into Douglas County. The drive from the Anschutz Medical Campus area to Southlands can take 30+ minutes. That geography matters when a court orders supervised parenting time — most providers schedule from one fixed office, which forces the parent who lives farthest away to absorb the cost of every additional mile.

TruVisit Denver does it differently. Our supervisors meet families at mutually convenient public locations across all of Aurora, chosen with the child's comfort and the court order's safety conditions in mind. We don't charge mileage. We don't charge travel time.

Aurora areas we regularly serve

  • North Aurora — the Colfax corridor and the Anschutz/Fitzsimons area
  • Del Mar & Aurora Hills — central Aurora
  • Heather Gardens & Centretech
  • Mission Viejo & Seven Hills — southeast Aurora
  • Saddle Rock & Tallyn's Reach
  • Southlands area — far southeast Aurora
  • Murphy Creek — east Aurora
  • Green Valley Ranch border area — northwest, near the Denver line

Common Aurora meet-up locations

Locations are selected case-by-case based on the court order, the child's age, and what makes sense for the visit. Public, family-appropriate venues we use regularly:

  • Del Mar Park (central Aurora)
  • Expo Park
  • Great Plains Park (southeast Aurora)
  • Cherry Creek State Park family areas (southwest edge of Aurora)
  • Stanley Marketplace (indoor option, north Aurora)
  • Aurora Public Library branches
  • Southlands shopping district family venues
  • Family-appropriate restaurants along Parker Road and in Southlands

Colorado winters bring snow and sudden cold snaps. From November through March we lean toward indoor venues — libraries, indoor play areas, and family-friendly marketplaces — so weather never compromises visit quality.

Which court hears Aurora family law cases?

It depends on where your case is venued. Most Aurora family law cases are heard by the Arapahoe County District Court (Colorado's 18th Judicial District) at the Arapahoe County Justice Center, 7325 South Potomac Street in Centennial. Cases venued in the Adams County portion of Aurora are heard at the Adams County Justice Center in Brighton (17th Judicial District), and the small Douglas County portion is served by the Douglas Combined Court in Castle Rock (23rd Judicial District). Our session reports are formatted in the objective, non-editorial, timestamped style all of these courts expect.

Supervised parenting time in Colorado is governed primarily by Title 14, Article 10 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, including the parenting time restriction standard at C.R.S. § 14-10-129. For the broader process, see our guide to the Colorado family court process.

If your court order is from an Arapahoe, Adams, or Douglas County court Have a copy of the order ready when you call. The two things we most need to confirm during intake: the type of supervision ordered (full supervised parenting time vs. monitored exchange vs. therapeutic), and any specific location or duration requirements written in the order. We can typically schedule a first session within 48–72 hours of intake completion.
