Supervised visitation across Highlands Ranch

Highlands Ranch is one of the largest unincorporated communities in the country — roughly 100,000 residents in northern Douglas County, organized around its four recreation-center quadrants and the Town Center. Because it's unincorporated, court matters go through Douglas County in Castle Rock, a 20–25 minute drive south. Most supervised visitation providers schedule from one fixed office, which forces the parent who lives farthest away to absorb the cost of every additional mile.

TruVisit Denver does it differently. Our supervisors meet families at mutually convenient public locations across all of Highlands Ranch, chosen with the child's comfort and the court order's safety conditions in mind. We don't charge mileage. We don't charge travel time.

Highlands Ranch areas we regularly serve

  • Town Center — the Highlands Ranch Parkway hub
  • Northridge — near the Arapahoe County line
  • Southridge — along Wildcat Reserve Parkway
  • Eastridge — the Quebec Street corridor
  • Westridge — toward Santa Fe Drive
  • BackCountry — the southern gated communities
  • Lone Tree & county-line border areas

Common Highlands Ranch meet-up locations

Locations are selected case-by-case based on the court order, the child's age, and what makes sense for the visit. Public, family-appropriate venues we use regularly:

  • Civic Green Park (Town Center, with summer events and fountains)
  • Redstone Park (west Highlands Ranch)
  • Northridge Park
  • James H. LaRue Library — Highlands Ranch (Douglas County Libraries)
  • Town Center family restaurants
  • Indoor play areas and recreation facilities nearby

Colorado winters bring snow and sudden cold snaps. From November through March we lean toward indoor venues — the library, indoor play areas, and family restaurants — so weather never compromises visit quality.

Douglas County family courts

Highlands Ranch family law cases are heard by the Douglas County District Court, part of Colorado's 23rd Judicial District (Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties — the state's first new judicial district since 1965, effective January 2025). Cases are heard at the Douglas County Justice Center, 4000 Justice Way in Castle Rock. Our session reports are formatted in the objective, non-editorial, timestamped style this court expects.

Supervised parenting time in Colorado is governed primarily by Title 14, Article 10 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, including the parenting time restriction standard at C.R.S. § 14-10-129. For the broader process, see our guide to the Colorado family court process.

If your court order is from the Douglas County District Court Have a copy of the order ready when you call. The two things we most need to confirm during intake: the type of supervision ordered (full supervised parenting time vs. monitored exchange vs. therapeutic), and any specific location or duration requirements written in the order. We can typically schedule a first session within 48–72 hours of intake completion.
